gift-wrapped in sunshine
birdsong the silver string
keeping it all together.
We undo it
with care one minute
at a time. savouring
its promise, its secrecy.
No stamos, no
post box needed a whiskery kiss
does the job, then a wriggle of toes
and another day
unknots its magic.
